Women’s Legal Service NSW (WLS) is a community legal centre for disadvantaged women in NSW. We are a leading human rights and social justice advocacy organisation.

Principal Solicitor:

Full Time, Ongoing Position

A unique opportunity has arisen to lead Women’s Legal Service NSW and contribute to the creation of a society in which woman are safe from violence, are heard and respected, and receive a fair and just legal outcome. The Principal Solicitor works closely with the Executive Officer to support this vision and build safer futures for women and their children who have experienced domestic, family and sexual violence.

As a key spokesperson for the service you will engage with stakeholders to raise awareness, and drive critical law reform while supporting a range of community engagement programs.

You will work closely with the assistant principal solicitor to lead and manage the WLS legal team including a large team of staff and volunteer solicitors, students and community access officers to deliver a range of specialised, trauma-informed programs, including legal information, advice and casework services to vulnerable women.

Applicants must be eligible to hold a NSW Unrestricted Practising Certificate.
