SERVICE UPDATE

Temporary Service Reductions

For the past six months we have been grappling with staff shortages. We currently have four vacant solicitor positions. In this time of surging COVID we are also afflicted by staff illness and/or isolation absences.

As a result and to reduce the stress and anxiety on our staff we have reluctantly made the decision to reduce some of our services until 30 September.

The changes are:

  • Outreaches: will be reduced to half days only, by phone.
  • There will be no domestic violence telephone advice line on Tuesdays.

Other regularly scheduled services will continue but we will have reduced capacity to take on casework representation.

Our volunteer program is also still on hold, so our Tuesday evening telephone advice appointments continue to be suspended.

If you need legal advice during this time please contact Law Access on 1300 888 529

You can also refer clients to another community legal centre:

Thank you for your understanding as we get through this difficult time.

Our volunteer program is also still on hold, so our Tuesday evening telephone advice appointments continue to be suspended.
