Women’s Legal Service (WLS) NSW takes its responsibilities to client and staff wellbeing seriously, and providing safe physical spaces to conduct our work together remains our priority.

Our office is open with social distancing and sanitising arrangements in place.

We continue to provide legal advice by phone

For the time being all outreach clinics, including Blacktown and Penrith women’s health centres, will be by phone appointment only. There are provisions for occasional face-to-face appointments for women who cannot safely reach us by phone, or who need to have documents dealt with.

Applicants for domestic violence orders will be given advice by phone or in person at the court, depending on the arrangements made by each court and WDVCAS.

Clients at Family Relationship Centres will be offered legal advice by phone.

Women in custody can use the CADL system to contact WLS on #21.

Indigenous Women’s outreaches and rural visits are suspended until further notice.

Our volunteer program is also on hold, so our Tuesday evening telephone advice appointments are temporarily suspended.
