Safe in Our Place

Safe in Our Place was a WLS NSW project in 2011 to train community workers who come into contact with emerging CALD communities in Sydney and in regional NSW about family violence, and how to provide culturally appropriate services to the various communities they work with. The workshops were designed to also be an opportunity for participants to discuss local issues and meet local domestic violence service providers.

This 12-month project was funded by the Office for Women as part of their Violence Prevention Coordination Unit, and provided 11 workshops for community workers in Sydney and rural NSW and three community workshops for women.
